About The Owner:
When Mr. Ernst Arthur Simon, bought the Mariental Hotel in 1993,
he was a young business man and entrepreneur and he saw the
potential this burned down hotel could have. With hard
work and determination his efforts paid off and one of Namibia's
finest Country hotels opened its doors for the first time in 8
yrs of absence.
For this initiative he was awarded the "Annual Business Man of
the Year" award for 1996. Ernst is a positive and
dynamic entrepreneur, who does not get set back by prevailing
conditions. As one of the Country's newspaper put it . . .
"He expended a huge sum of money, a commendable move by a
business man still in his young years but not deterred by the
prevailing depressed financial conditions.
